Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], June 12 (ANI): The Odisha government on Friday gave its approval to four industrial projects envisaging investment of around Rs 1,637.41 crores.
Gumla: The outlawed PLFI put up posters and banners in the intervening hours of Tuesday and Wednesday in three areas of Lohardaga town, police said on Wednesday. Written in red, the posters, which surfaced in Powerganj, Railway Siding and Upper Bazar areas, warned the local businessmen of exploiting the poor, the police informers and the security forces of staging fake encounters.
Sub-divisional police officer Jitendra Kumar Singh, who, along with his team took the posters down, said their investigation is underway to nab the culprits.
Some cops said that it was the first time that PLFI put up posters in the heart of the town. Some senior officers claimed it was PLFI’s way of retaliating against the intensified police action to flush them out of their hideouts. Recently, the cops released the photographs of PLFI chief Dinesh Gope. On December 21 last year, Gope’s deputy Jitan Gudia was gunned down in a police encounter in Khunti.
