Protesting a
fine imposed on his family, a city lawyer has faulted the process being deployed by Pune police and
Pune Municipal Corporation (
PMC) to collect penalty from motorists travelling without masks. In a written complaint to the city police commissioner and the civic body, he has also questioned the kind of receipt being issued against the fine, which comes with a declaration that the instrument cannot be used as documentary evidence.
