Inspector-General of Police Takes Over Investigation Of Central Bank Staff Assassinated In Nasarawa Supermarket

The Inspector General of Police, (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has taken over the investigation into the murder of a staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), identified as Daniel Adefemi Okunade. It was learnt that Okunade who was a top ranking officer in the Internal Audit Department of CBN, was shot in the head by suspected assassins on Tuesday while returning from work. SaharaReporters had reported that no fewer than four people were killed by some gunmen suspected to be armed robbers in Nasarawa State.

Nigeria Central Bank Worker, Three Others Killed As Gunmen Attack Supermarket In Nasarawa

No fewer than four people have been reportedly killed by some gunmen suspected to be armed robbers in Nasarawa State.   It was learnt that the incident happened around 8.45 pm at Wisdom Supermarket at Adehi Bus Stop, One Man Village in the Karu Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday.   An eyewitness said four armed men stormed the supermarket and started shooting indiscriminately.   The gunmen demanded valuables and cash from terrified shopkeepers and customers in the store.
