At least 19 people were killed and 25 injured after a speeding bus skidded off the road and fell into a ditch in Bangladesh on Sunday at 8 am (0200 GMT). The police said that they expect the death toll to increase as many of the injured were in critical condition. According to initial reports, the accident happened after the driver lost control and drove the Dhaka-bound bus into the railing of a recently built major expressway in Madaripur and as a result, it tumbled into a 30 feet (10 metres) ditch.
