Filer Man Sentenced for Sexual Exploitation of a Child
TWIN FALLS, IDAHO (KLIX)-A 29-year-old Filer man who pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of children will spend more than two decades behind bars in federal prison.
Michael Robert Gorley was sentenced by U.S. District Judge David Nye to serve 24 years in prison, five years of supervised released, and register as a sex offender for the crimes committed in 2019, according to acting U.S. Attorney Rafael Gonzalez, Jr.
According to court documents, Gorley had exchanged explicit images of himself and a 4-year-old to an undercover Federal Bureau of Investigation task force officer in Washington D.C. Agents were able to identify a computer IP address to the Magic Valley and located Gorley at his home in Filer.

Acting U.S. Attorney General Rafael Gonzalez, Jr. announced this week Scott Nice, 31, was sentenced in U.S. District Court after he pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography early last year.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) discovered Nice had been watching explicit videos on his computer in the winter of 2019 by way of a peer-to-peer network on his computer. A judge granted a search warrant at his home and following examination of Nice s computer, investigators found files of child pornography anime, a Japanese style of animation, and an internet history that revealed he d been watching child pornography.

BOISE, Idaho (KIFI)-U.S. Attorney for Idaho Bart Davis, 65, has submitted his resignation effective February 28. Davis was appointed to the post by President Trump 3 years ago.
Rafael Gonzalez, Jr. will immediately assume the office as Acting United States Attorney. Gonzalez held served as First Assistant U.S. Attorney since September 2010. He is a career officer in a non-political position.
