The medians at the intersection of La Jolla Parkway, Torrey Pines Road and Hidden Valley Road known as “The Throat” continue to lack regular maintenance, according to La Jolla community leaders who also say they haven’t seen promised reports from the city of San Diego or its contractor for the maintenance.
A buildup of trash alongside La Jolla Parkway which many consider to be La Jolla’s front door continues to upset local residents, who in recent months have reported the litter to the city of San Diego, to no avail.
More than two weeks after the city of San Diego committed to greater supervision of a maintenance contract for the medians near the intersection of La Jolla Parkway, Torrey Pines Road and Hidden Valley Road known as “The Throat” some La Jolla residents are concerned that they haven't seen expected reports from the contractor.
