Raegan Mae Lee, 22 months old, was asleep in her bed when a tree fell on her family s home in Pearl River County, Mississippi, in the early-morning hours of April 24.
The little girl was killed, one of several victims of falling trees during recent bouts of severe weather in the South, and among the many killed by weather-felled trees every year in the United States. She could always put a smile on your face with her little smile and chubby cheeks, Lainey Aschenbach wrote on a fundraising page established for the Lee family. She loved to play outside and loved to play with her big brother.
A 1-year-old girl was killed Saturday morning after a tree fell on her family s home in Pearl River County during a storm.
Pearl River County Coroner Derek Turnage said heavy rain caused the tree to fall on the home, located on Stanford Lake Road, at around 3:30 a.m.
The child, Raegan Mae Lee, was 22 months old and sleeping in her bedroom at the time, according to a GoFundMe page, which was set up to cover funeral expenses and damages to the family s home. Mississippi child killed after tree falls on home in storm

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (AP) A child was killed in Pearl River County over the weekend after a tree reportedly fell on a house during an overnight storm, according to authorities.
The tree crashed into the sleeping girl’s bedroom at around 3 a.m. Saturday, according to local media reports. It happened during severe storms that moved through the area overnight.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family of Raegan Mae Lee, who would have turned two later this year.
Organizers of the fundraiser say that the family’s home was also destroyed.
