SOFIA (Bulgaria), January 18 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria s antitrust body said on Monday that it gave the green light to United Media, part of Dutch-based telecommunications and media company United Group, to acquire 100% of Bulgarian multi-platform media company Nova Broadcasting Group from Sofia-based Advance Media Group.
The Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) allowed Luxembourg-based United Media to buy Nova Broadcasting Group and its subsidiaries Net Info, Daric News, Vbox, Elit Media Bulgaria, Radio Veselina, Radio Express, Vitosha FM, Agencia Vitosha and Agencia Atlantik as well as to exercise joint control of Financial Marketplace, Grabo Media and Attica Eva, the competition authority said in its decision.

SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 14 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria s Commission for Protection of Competition said on Monday that United Media, part of Dutch-based telecommunications and media company United Group, is seeking approval to acquire Bulgaria s Nova Broadcasting Group.
Interested parties have until December 21 to submit their statements regarding the transaction to the regulator, a notice published on the competition authority s website reads.
On Friday, United Group said that it is in talks with Bulgaria s Advance Media Group over the possible acquisition of Nova Broadcasting Group.

SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 11 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria s Advance Media Group is in talks with Dutch-based telecommunications and media company United Group for the sale of Nova Broadcasting Group, United Group said on Friday. A potential deal is dependent on the successful completion of negotiations between the parties, as well as on the conclusion of a binding Sales and Purchase Agreement between them and on obtaining all necessary approvals from the relevant regulatory authorities in Bulgaria and abroad, United Group said in a press release.
