Government reviewing Haitian and other consulates presence in TCI Minister of Immigration, Hon. Arlington Chuck Musgrove. The Turks and Caicos Islands government is reviewing the presence of the Haitian Consulate and others here, and there is a possibility that they could be closed. Minister of Immigration Hon. Arlington Chuck Musgrove said his ministry is reviewing the consular offices to determine whether their presence locally is hindering or hurting the country. “This increase in illegal activities from our neighbours to the south (Haiti and Dominican Republic), including illegal poaching and immigration, has forced us to take a serious look at the presence of the consular office, to determine if their presence here is hindering or hurting us. BCB GM appointed new Caribbean Broadcasting Union VP

(BIS PHOTOS) BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS General Manager of the Broadcasting Corporation of the Bahamas (BCB) Kayleaser Deveaux-Isaacs has been appointed vice president of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU) with effect from December 9, 2020. Deveaux-Isaacs was elected by the board at its monthly meeting to fill a vacancy created when Amalia Mai of Great Belize Production demitted office recently. She has been a member of the board for over three years and her BCB organization which operates ZNS Radio and Television has been a member of the CBU for almost three decades. CBU President Gary Allen congratulated the new vice president, noting she takes on additional responsibilities in the union at a time when broadcasters in the region have been called upon to do a lot more public service due to the impact of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
