From the office of just and i think it captures what happened in the last weeks since the revelation of the text and i want to thank Yolanda Williams and one of the founding members Marianne Jackson and Rodney Williams and other officers for justice and after the text were revealed they wrote an immediate statement and said they were outraged and disappointed that there are sworn members of the Police Department that are engaging in these despicable racist activities and conversations. At this time we want all members of the San Francisco Police Department who are responsible for the texting publicly identified as it is an apparent officer safety issue for our members and citizens of San Francisco. The limited Text Messages we were provided identify association with the klu klux klan, white supremacy, ideally and threats to kill in bred children and derog tors to minorities and including hispanics, africanamericans, lgbt et cetera and others and in addition to references as women as b
Northbound interstate 280 in Los Altos Hills. Thankfully there were no other vehicles where the suv overturned. Moments later the driver emerged. Look at him from the suv, walks around, brushed himself off. Very casual. The chp officers arrived. Puts his hands up. They drew their tasers as they arrested him. This map gives you a better idea of the entire ground covered. It started in fairfield crossed the martinez bridge. You can see the chase passed through several cities along 680 before ending up in the south bay and southbound 680 then becomes northbound 280 in san jose where the freeway then heads up north toward the peninsula. What a scene. Abc 7 news david louie just got to the scene. Lets get to him live on the ground. David, what a situation today. Thats the car behind you. Reporter that is so true, cheryl and larry. Were south of magdalena. Let me step aside so you can get a better look at the vehicle the Nissan Pathfinder in pursuit all the miles down 680 and up 280. Ended u
Jail bed days. You know, then you do the math. That equates to a lot of adp. But again i guess i want to circle all the way back around to say San Francisco has done a fantastic job with realignment. I think the questions that have been asked and the issues, the moving parts that are unknown right now really needs to have some time to play out. The environmental aspect of having that report then gives us a year to relook at that. And i completely support the boards analyst recommendation to let that time go. Lets take a look and get some of these answers, and then see and make a better decision a little bit further down the road. Thank you very much, chief. And i know that we have our public defender in the audience as well. I want to thank public defender adachi for his patience. Thank you for being here and thank you for your report. Thank you very much and good afternoon. My office provides legal representation to over 20,000 people every year. About 80 of the people who are in cust
The need to replace 3 and 4. ~ but [speaker not understood] the Program Manager can speak on that. Hes right here in the room. Hes from dpw. Thank you. Im sorry, jim [speaker not understood]. My name is jim buker with the department of public works. ~ the cj2s was originally built as a work furlough facility and our understanding is that the Sheriffs Department is currently using it as a housing unit for women that are in the jail system and also for Mental Health pod. And, so, they are using cj2 as intensively as that facility can currently be used. It isnt constructed at maximum security standards. If we were to convert that facility to maximum security, we would essentially be replacing the existing beds for maximum security beds and we would still have the same need for beds somewhere in the system for womens facilities for Mental Health facilities. I understand the perspective and the conclusion, but i think what im looking for is the analysis. And i know that i certainly would li

I visited cj2 and i understand that even if you continue with its existing use, there are thing that you have to do actually to make
