2021 NFL Draft: Buffalo Bills take Wisconsin CB Rachad Wildgoose Jr. with 213th pick
The Bills chased down a cornerback for the roster.
The Buffalo Bills had back-to-back picks late in the sixth round, and chose a pair of defensive backs, with Wisconsin cornerback Rachad Wildgoose Jr. the target of the 213th overall selection.
The 5’11” 197-lb Wildgoose entered the NFL Draft as a true junior with only two years of college football, having opted out of most of the 2020 season when he suffered a shoulder injury after two games. He has experience both as an outside cornerback and playing in the slot, and had decent production on his resume 14 passes broken up, an interception, and five tackles for loss in 26 college games.

2019: 22 tackles (3.0 for loss), six passes broken up and an interception in 12 games played.
Positives:
Rachad Wildgoose Jr. is a cornerback who plays a physical brand of football. He s aggressive at the line of scrimmage and uses his hands early and often to disrupt the timing and path of the opposing receiver. He is a willing contributor in run support and has the frame to be a factor in that regard. Wildgoose elevates well and despite being outmatched sometimes, he displays quality effort at the catch point.
