Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has announced another COVID-19 related death. There have now been a total of nine people who have died since the start of the pandemic. Public Health is reporting 14 new cases of the virus today, and 8 more recoveries. Between the two counties, that brings the total number of active cases to 79. Nine of the new cases announced today are close contacts, while the other five are listed as pending. The outbreak at a congregated living facility in Belleville, where two cases have been linked, has now been declared over. That leaves the region with a total of three active outbreaks.
