Three critically injured in Morayfield Bruce Hwy crash

Paramedics have rushed six people to various hospitals after a nasty crash on the Bruce Highway at Morayfield. One of the patients was a women who was being taken in a critical condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with chest and abdominal injuries. Two others were being taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women s Hospital in critical conditions with head and chest injuries. A man in his 50s was taken to Caboolture Hospital in a serious condition with chest injuries. Two others were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions. Queensland Ambulance Services senior operations supervisor Glen Morrison said 13 crews responded to the incident.

Elderly woman freed from crashed vehicle at Buderim

Premium Content Subscriber only UPDATE 11.30am: An elderly woman was taken to hospital after she was encapsulated in her vehicle following a crash at Buderim. The woman was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for observation. She was in a stable condition. EARLIER: Emergency services crews are working to assist an elderly woman encapsulated in her vehicle which crashed into a pole at Buderim. Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews responded to reports of a woman trapped after a single-vehicle crash at the corner of Ballinger and Dixon roads, Buderim. Crews responded about 10.40am and arrived at 10.45am. A QFES spokesman said the woman was encapsulated but not trapped.
