The Western Australia economy will be boosted by a $1.3b infrastructure package, with record funding for major new projects to be announced in next week’s Federal Budget.
Key projects to be funded include:
$347.5 million for METRONET: Hamilton Street-Wharf Street Grade Separations and Elevation of Associated Stations, including Queens Park Station and Cannington Station and an enhanced METRONET Byford Rail Extension project, with new grade separated rail

A federal package for Western Australia has been unveiled by the government for a suite of new infrastructure projects to be announced in next week’s budget.
Projects to build or improve rail, roads, bridges, and the Perth Airport precinct will be the beneficiaries of the WA cash splash.
Prime minister Scott Morrison emphasised the benefits of safer and accessible transport options, and how reducing travel times would help to support thousands of jobs.

The Federal Government has pledged $1.3 billion ahead of next weekâs budget to upgrade West Australian roads and fund key infrastructure projects.
The funding will go towards 13 new projects, while 10 existing projects will receive a boost too ahead of the Federal Budget coming out next week.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the spend would improve public transport, make roads safer and support more than 4000 jobs.
Mark McGowan has demanded the Commonwealth to step in and help with quarantining returning Australians.
