New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs announced that India will commemorate Chabahar Day on Thursday (March 4) on the margin of Maritime India Summit 2021. Ministers from over six countries, namely Afghanistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan will take part in the virtual meet.
Transport minister of Afghanistan Qudratullah Zaki, Armenia s Infrastructure minister Suren Papikyan, Iran s Minister of Roads Mohammad Eslami, Russia s Deputy Minister of Industry Oleg N Ryazantsev, Uzbekistan s Deputy Minister of Transport Choriyev Jasurbek Ergashevich and Indias Minister of State for ports Mansukh Mandaviya will be present at the virtual meet which will be addressed by S Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister of india.

President Ashraf Ghani met with leadership and officials of Ministry of Transport this morning at the Presidential Palace.
Qudratullah Zaki, Minister of Transport said specific plans and programs have been adopted across the ministry towards realization of the President s vision on transforming Afghanistan into the Asian runabout and a transport hub, adding that their implementation would bring good achievements for Afghanistan in economic and transit sector.
President Ashraf Ghani declared support for the plans and programs for improvement of transport system of the country and said the government systems and services will be digitized. He attached importance to establishing fundamental reforms in human resources of the ministry and said that all information about the vehicles, revenue and roads should be electronic.
