Eleanor Holmes Martin davis, and the senators son played tribute to him at the service. From the national cuathedralcathedral. This is an hour. And everyone who has lived shall not die forever. As for me i know that he earned this and at the last he will stand upon the earth. After my awakening, he will raise me up and in my body i shall see god. I myself shall see and my eyes behold him who is my friend and not a stranger. For none of us have life in himself and none become his own master when he dies. For if we have life we are alive in the lord and if we die we die in the lord. So then whether we live or die we are the lords possession. Happy from now on are those who die in the lord. So it is says the spirit for they shall rest from their labors. On behalf of Washington Cathedral and all who serve it is my privilege to welcome you to the service as we gather to remember and celebrate a life welllived. Washington National Cathedral seeks to be a spiritual home for the nation as such

I know strides are being taken to have more diversity but, on campuses, you have black
It. If you want me to name 2, 1 which sounds pedestrian but is a vexing situation and wasteful the current rigorous oversight of attendance of scientists at scientific meetings. We are spending 16 million and using hundreds of employees to go through a process which has little if any added value. All of this triggered by some misadventures by other agencies who convened conferences in places like las vegas. Going to conferences is a way new ideas emerge. We could much benefit from your help there. The second one, the department of energy and their scientific budgeting that happens every year, they are allowed to carry funds into a second year. We are not. We, to the end of september with money we need to spend or it goes away. If we have the opportunity to carry that over we could be more flexible in how we spin the taxpayers money. Thank you. I certainly agree with what dr. Collins said. Administrative issues . Or broader . I dont want to want to make sure we dont waste our time. Let
