Australia on Sunday said the Quad member countries have accepted India's position on the Russian attack on Ukraine and that no country would be unhappy as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been using his contacts to call for an end to the conflict.
The joint readout issued after the summit stated that the Quad leaders "discussed the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and assessed its broader implications".
The grouping has emerged and receded from prominence over the years but gained new traction following deadly border clashes between India and China in 2020
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to travel to Australia in February to meet counterparts from Japan, India and Australia to discuss Indo-Pacific coordination, the Australian government said on Monday.
