NABL chief executive N Venkateswaran said the laboratory had been suspended in April for non-compliance with NABL accreditation norms . Due to confidentiality, we will not be able to say more than that the lab was found not complying with accreditation norms and hence suspended.
CRL Diagnostics managing director Ravi Tomar said the suspension stemmed from the misuse of the NABL logo and that the laboratory was appealing for it to be lifted.
Jatin Wig and his family were among the group of passengers who were stopped from boarding the plane.
Mr Wig s wife and toddler had tested positive to the virus despite showing no symptoms.

The International Cricket Council has received a letter from Cricket South Africa as tensions between the African nation and Cricket Australia continue to rise over Australia’s decision to pull the pin on this month’s test tour at the last minute.
CSA wrote to the ICC seeking intervention and financial help for struggling nations who have tours lost because of the pandemic. The ICC has confirmed it received the letter. According to ESPN Cricinfo, the letter, which is not a formal complaint, says Australia’s decision was “against the spirit of sportsmanship”.

In a depressing sign of the times, Qantas recently put a new 787 Dreamliner straight into storage. Qantas received the spanking new Boeing 787-9 in Victorville, California, on November the 13th, the delivery bringing its Dreamliner fleet up to 12.
Aviation photographer Jennifer Schuld snagged a photo of this, posting the 787-9 VH-ZNN’s arrival on Twitter.

However, instead of trumpeting the naked jet’s arrival, or putting it straight into service, Qantas put the 787 straight on ice. As reported by

This made the UK the first major Western nation to begin distributing a COVID-19 vaccine. As such, the government has made an order for 40 million doses of the US-German joint-venture’s vaccine, which would be sufficient for 20 million people given the double-dosage requirement of the jab.
However, a popular and successful uptake of the vaccination, which is reported to be 95 per cent effective against COVID-19, could see a rapid increase in additional orders, alongside the prospect of additional immunisations from the likes of Moderna (95 per cent), AstraZeneca (62-90 per cent) and Gamaleya (92 per cent).
