reporter: well, it was really intense, megyn. you had shots flying from every direction. because the rebel army is ill-disciplined, inexperienced and untrained, i was more fearful of getting shot in the back as i was in the front by qaddafi forces. i want to say quickly, my feeling about arming the rebels, i wouldn t give them heavier weapons because they have plenty of weapons with heavy metal. they don t know how to use them. what they need is marine corps sergeants to give them an idea of how you fight a war. they were absolutely hapless, clueless. and that s the best evidence that they re not al-qaeda. al-qaeda are professional terrorists. the people i was with are
