airplanes have been in action taking out tanks and missile. rebels have board up tanks to help them in the fight. they are taking a heavy casualties. in one instance an amber they lost several fighters and several more were captured by qaddafi forces. meanwhile, 90 miles southeast of here in tripoli pro-qaddafi forces are still holding the town of bani walid. rebels using pickup trucks armed with heavy machine guns to try to force their way into that town. they are also being held up by fierce resistance there by those qaddafi forces. when we went there, government forces said they were facing a well-organized enemy which was dug in. now, hundreds of civilians have managed to escape that town over the past few days. but they are likely to get caught up in the fighting there. as the rebel forces push into that town in the coming days. back to you, shep. shepard: david piper live in
