Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi district on Thursday and spoke to the 41 construction workers trapped inside. Dhami told the labourers, who are trapped inside the tunnel for 12 days now, that the rescuers have managed to come very close to them.
"They told me not to worry and that we would soon meet outside," says Indrajeet Kumar with a renewed sense of hope after he was able to speak to two of his family members who are among the 41 workers trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel.
Rescuers released the first video of workers trapped inside the collapsed part of the tunnel. The visuals were captured using an endoscopic flexi camera sent in through the alternative 6-inch pipeline. The camera was sent in after it came from Delhi late on Monday evening.
