Noida: With Covid cases rising, the UP-Rera will now defer some of its initiatives, including their plan to get involved in the formation of the apartment owners’ association (AOA) of individual apartments where residents have moved in. The UP-Rera had earlier announced that they would get involved in the process of creation of AOA to dilute conflict between builders and buyers as in many cases buyers complain about the builder’s resistance in handing over maintenance control.
Balvinder Kumar, of UP-Rera, said, “This is not our priority at the moment given the current pandemic situation.”
Pushkar Chandra, a resident of Sector 62, said, “There are around 200 builders’ societies in Noida that have not formed AOA and are not handing over to Registered AOAs as transfer of funds is involved in the process. Why is the government not forcing their formation?”
