A 55-year-old man has been arrested in Ranchi for impersonating a BJP MP and booking railway tickets under VIP quota. The man, Nabanidhar Mukherjee, posed as Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato, the incumbent MP of Purulia Lok Sabha constituency in West Bengal. Mukherjee, who worked as a taxi driver, was caught after an FIR was lodged based on a complaint by the division's chief commercial inspector. He has been charged with Section 420 of the IPC.
