Actors invited to audition for Leaving Iowa

FORT MADISON – Old Fort Players is on a roll.
After the successful opening of “The Queen of Bingo” on Feb. 5, the theater decided to keep up the momentum and has scheduled another comedy for May, Dorothy Schulte of OFP announced recently in a media release.
Directors Ty Clute and Angela Sanford will hold open auditions starting Monday at Old Fort Players, 725 Avenue G, Fort Madison.
The cast calls for one to two each women and men ages 17-25 and two to three each men and women over the age of 25. There is also a need for several actors who can fill multiple small roles.
Jeff Daniels joins Ann Arbor Folk Festival lineup as emcee

ANN ARBOR, MI - Emmy award-winning actor, director, singer/songwriter and Chelsea native Jeff Daniels is joining the 44th annual Ann Arbor Folk Festival lineup, serving as the event’s emcee.
Daniels was among the additions to the Folk Festival lineup announced by The Ark on Wednesday, Jan. 6, along with Nashville singer/songwriter Kim Richey.
Several other musicians have been added to the bill since the initial announcement of the lineup, including noted actor and musician Kiefer Sutherland, Gina Chavez, Willie Watson, Ron Pope, David Bromberg and Andrea von Kampen.
