Punjab Congress Saturday suspended Abohar MLA Sandeep Jakhar from the party for allegedly indulging in "anti-party activities." The action against Mr Jakhar came following a complaint filed by Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring.
The ruling AAP in Punjab has attacked Rahul Gandhi over his allegation that the government in the state was being remote controlled, saying the Congress used to summon former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi often to Delhi.
Rahul Gandhi hailed the people of Punjab for showering their love to the Bharat Jodo Yatra as the left the state and entered its final leg in Jammu and Kashmir.
Punjab Congress tweeted from their social media handle today: "We pay our humble tributes to Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu Moosewala ji on his birth anniversary. He will always stay with us in our hearts."
