A few months ago, the state government declared that PMC's concession scheme on property tax would continue and had urged the civic administration to charge the tax accordingly.
Yogesh Hendre, acting Public Relation Officer of the PMC, said, “The tax on property is accepted without levying penalty till May end every year. However, this year the deadline is June end.”
The concession scheme for self-occupied residential properties would continue from April 1. The amount of those who have paid the increased property tax will be adjusted in future payments. The decision has come ahead of the PMC elections.
