SRINAGAR: Two councillors each from the National Conference and Congress were appointed as executive councillors of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil on Saturday.
The hill council election in Kargil, voting for which took place on Oct 4, was the first local poll in Ladakh since it was split from Jammu and Kashmir in August 2019 to become a union territory
Counting began at 8 am on Sunday, and at last count, the Congress has won seven seats, NC is at four and the BJP at 2 seats out of 26 elected seats to the council.
