Live at the Pulitzer: Material and Memory Inspired by our city’s past and present, we celebrate, we reflect, we relate. Music invites us to engage with the spirit of our city echoed through the sonic worlds of St. Louis-born Olly Wilson and current resident Christopher Stark. Allison Loggins-Hull prompts us to reflect on our homeland, while Laurence Crane and Cassie Wieland create gentle spaces for continued contemplation. This program was principally inspired by the Urban Archaeology: Lost Buildings of St. Louis exhibition at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation.
In Conversation: Michael Allen and Robert Green Join exhibition curator Michael Allen and artist Robert Green for a special conversation about salvage and community preservation. Relating to the fall exhibition Urban Archaeology: Lost Buildings of St. Louis, the pair will discuss the close relationship between their salvage practices and community activism, as well as Green’s ongoing artistic reclamation of historical artifacts honoring the city’s African and African-American cultures.
