Another major snow storm is heading to the Cascades looking to add multiple feet of snow to a snowpack that already stands at one of its highest points in years at this time of year. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for the mountains and their passes through 10 p.m. Friday for heavy snowfall that could pile up at a rate of 1-2 inches per hour, especially Thursday night and early Friday morning, and bring 1-3.5 FEET of new accumulations. Snoqualmie Pass, Stevens Pass and White Pass could all see 30-36 inches of new snow in the 36-hour period. Paradise Ranger Station at Mt. Rainier could push up closer to 4 feet of new snow.
