We are seeing stocks fall to their lows of the session. Weve seen a sharp gyration during the course of the session thus far. Some of it appears to be driven by oil, perhaps some people paying attention to those comments by robert kaplan. But overall, we are definitely seeing a negative at this point for the major averages. Take a look at the bloomberg here for the groups on the move. Healthcare is the worst performing group. Then theres technology, financials and energy. I should mention amazon is actually in the Consumer Discretionary index in terms of where it is sectorwise, and that index is very slightly higher, so its not grouped with technology in the s p 500. When you look at healthcare and see the big decline, at least some of that is due to gilead. The companys profit missing analyst estimates. It had disappointing sales of its two blockbuster hepatitis c treatments, and so that is whats behind the steep drop were seeing. Then theres a cycle, which is a Health Waste Managemen

Welcome to mtp daily, im Steve Kornacki in for chuck todd. Its the end of a long week of soulsearching for the Republican Party and tonight, despite what you might be hearing, that Republican Party is close to unifying. Going into yesterdays meeting, the big facetoface sitdown between paul ryan and donald trump, the dynamic was a big question mark. Those two men have had significant differences on policy, and on the very question of what it means to be a republican. Trump already told chuck that everything is open to negotiation. This morning on nbcs today show trump said all of his policies are just, quote, suggestions at this point, and that includes his proposed muslim ban. I think millions of people who voted for you across the country, during the primary process felt as if you were actually proposing that. Are you softening your stance . Well, im not the president right now, so anything i suggest is really a suggestion. And if i were president , id put in legislation and do what i
All in their decision on who to back. 22 called it a major factor. With the indiana primary just one day away, ted cruz is continuing his makeorbreak stand to stop donald trump. Cruz is barnstorming the Hoosier State today with two appearances alongside republican governor mike pence who heaped praise on trump before backing cruz on friday. I like and respect all three of the republican candidates in the field. I particularly want to commend donald trump who i think has given voice to the frustration of millions of working americans with a lack of progress in washington, d. C. , and im also particularly grateful that donald trump has taken a strong stand for hoosier jobs when we saw jobs at the Carrier Company abruptly announce leaving indiana, not for another state, but for mexico. Im grateful. Ive come to my decision about who im supporting, and im not against anybody, but i will be voting for ted cruz. Look, i have Bobby Knights endorsement. We go around. In fact, im going right now
