Kids in Olathe are out for summer break, and Monday the city will begin opening its public swimming pools. But for pools such as Black Bob Bay, which opens at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, it s summertime as usual.Black Bob Bay features raft water slides, a lazy river, shallow water play structures, family changing room, shade areas for party rentals, a dive well that includes two 1-meter diving boards and two 3-meter diving boards, a 50-meter pool and a baby pool.A year ago, due to COVID-19, Olathe only opened two of its four pools and had tighter restrictions than normal on the number of people who could be in the pool area.
