However, the pools are opening with health and safety rules in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic.One of the city s pools, Frontier pool, is not scheduled to open this summer due to the impact of COVID-19 staffing. But for pools such as Black Bob Bay, which opens at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, it s summertime as usual.Black Bob Bay features raft water slides, a lazy river, shallow water play structures, family changing room, shade areas for party rentals, a dive well that includes two 1-meter diving boards and two 3-meter diving boards, a 50-meter pool and a baby pool.A year ago, due to COVID-19, Olathe only opened two of its four pools and had tighter restrictions than normal on the number of people who could be in the pool area.
