Shots Fired Call Sends Murfreesboro Police to the Barfield Downs Subdivision this past Friday Mar 01, 2021 at 10:07 am by WGNS
Murfreesboro Police responded to a “Shots Fired” call on Friday afternoon at the Barfield Downs subdivision. Several residents who live in the Barfield Road neighborhood told WGNS NEWS that the subject who allegedly fired the shot, reportedly fired it from the window of a home on Tin Cup Drive.
WGNS asked the MPD to confirm reports that suggested the person who fired the shot was a 17-year-old male and Public Information Officer Larry Flowers stated, “
The only information I can confirm is, MPD officers responded to a shots fired call on Tin Cup Dr. on Friday, Feb. 26 about 3:57 p.m. Apparently, no property or person was the intended target.” As for the age of the person who reportedly fired the shot, Flowers said that because the incident involved a juvenile, he could not discuss further details of the case.

(MURFREESBORO) More on the early Saturday (2/6/2020) morning altercation and shooting at a house party on Ewing Boulevard. 21-year old Giovanni Gillis was shot and killed, two others were hospitalized, and bullets grazed two other party goers.
Police Public Information Officer Larry Flowers told NewsRadio WGNS that the two others who were shot were driven by friends to the ER at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, and later taken to Nashville. They are in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
The two other partygoers who were grazed by bullets, refused medical treatment.
