Coronavirus crisis. This is two hours and 30 minutes. I want to begin by thanking our pannestist and esteemed members for joining us. This week our country passed a grim milestone, more than 100,000 americans have lost their lives due to the coronavirus pandemic. Thousands of americans continue to contract this virus every day. Over 150 more here in South Carolina on yesterday. And the day before, wednesday, marked our largest singleday increase of covid19 deaths. Local Community Leaders across the country, democrats, and republic ans need strong federal leadership to help them combat this deadly threat. Communities need federal help to get the protective equipment and testing supplies they need to protect their front line medical workers and essential employees. Unfortunately the administration is leaving it up to the states. Forcing them to compete against each other in order to purchase equipment and supplies from the private sector, leading to higher prices and greater shortages. W

Folks. By land size, it is the same size as the United States. A lot of people think they are the Biggest Country by land. And canada is number 2 in china, number 3 by land, we are both close. I love visiting china. The people of china, they are wonderful people, very smart, very hardworking, very aspirational and i say this because when i talk about china i want you to understand i am not talking about the people of china. The people of china are good people. The Chinese Communist party not so much. I regret having to say this. I would not turn my back on the Chinese Communist party if they were two days ahead. I dont want to have a cold war with china. I would rather see us Work Together for the common good of the planet earth. We tried but that didnt work out very well. We admitted china to the World Trade Organization on december 11th, 2001. It wasnt just our decision, but you know better than i do china wouldnt have been admitted to the wto without our support. Testing to test phase one for reopening. Well have more on that, here now the president in the rose garden taking media questions. Social distancing, yet were still seeing about 20,000 new cases a day, 12,000 deaths. Is there anything else the administration is planning to do to get these new cases under control . Because we seem to be on a plateau. Well, excuse me, 20,000 the numbers are way down from what they were two weeks ago. I mean, the numbers are really coming down and very substantially. This weekend was one of the lowest weve had. This is, you know, the numbers are coming down very rapidly all throughout the country, by the way. There may be one exception, but all throughout the country the numbers are coming down rapidity. I think you see that, admiral. [inaudible] 130,000 cases that go through august. Is that, do you agree with those models . Is that your expectation . Well, the models havent been exactly accurate. You look at some of the models, theyve been way off. A few
Health and wellbeing of all americans. The path has been long and difficult, and everybody has made sacrifices to keep one another out of harms way in communities all the United States. Medical providers, Public Health officials, frontline workers, first responders, Law Enforcement, they are all working very long hours and spending significant time away from their families to help limit potential exposure. These brave men and women are literally saving lives everyday. It is impossible to thank them enough for what they have done for us. But i know that countless georgians joined my family and i praying for them daily. As you all know, this weekend is a powerful one for all americans. For years, we have taken this moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by those in uniform. We honor these american heroes who answered the call of duty and paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Earlier today, i was honored to attend a Memorial Day Ceremony with the Georgia National guard to honor the l
