My question is whats needed politically to get European Countries to exploit their shale resources . If you were to encourage it how would you encourage it . The first thing i would find a way to reward the owners and all those that get affected by the shale production. But honestly this is not all. In spain, for instance we have a big debate. Its not old. But one thing i would do. The second thing, i think that for many years in europe there was this idea of dont touch, dont tell in terms of electricity generation, generation in general. So people dont know really. We went for renewables. This is fine. Dont miss understand me, this is fine. But people dont know what it costs in the end because i mean im not able to read the receipt of the electricity every month. I dont know what im paying for the renewables. People should know. I should know how. Its not a fatality that we are bound to be dependent on an importer. We need to develop our own resources and of course efficiency. And on

I was playing close attention to the news as the storm was coming up. And you saw the same tropes come and you saw the fear of mob mentality taking over. And people were looking for the any sign they could find of society breaking down, the looters coming in, and usually blowing it out of proportion because as there are isolated incidents here it wasnt a big deal. In katrina, that attitude had major implications. You have people who survived a disaster and are trying to stay alive and are getting shot to death by the police because the Police Assume they are stealing something they are not. So that is a long way of saying that it would have been nice if there had been a period of reflection and new plans were made for Disaster Relief Going Forward so when the haitian earthquake hit at an hour of no ones choosing it could have been implemented. Say you multiply one million times five, you get about 5 million professional workers in the United States at the present time taking jobs and some Academic Studies that are done, basically pointing out that we have much higher Unemployment Rate among professional workers than we have experienced in the past and that wages for those professional workers are basically stagnant over the past about a decade which would not be true if there were a shortage and if there were bidding among the employers for those high skilled workers. And with regard to the lower end of the skill level, farmers will tell you that they have crops that are rotting on the vine, and that is true. There have always been crops rotting on the vine regardless of how many workers were available for harvesting them. That always happens. For various reasons sometimes the crop is somewhat damaged. Sometimes it is simply a resource issue that the workers do not get there at the right time. But it is not

Here is a preview of the week ahead on the hill. We want to take a step back and talk more broadly about congress. It is going to be a busy week. Is on therowicz phone. And has not as of last night. That is the big mission of the week for congress. They will have to do it in two stages. They will have to pass a short term bill through saturday and that will give them time to wrestle through the giant, a little bit more than 1 trillion spending bill, for the rest of the year. It seems like theres is a lot of agreement just to do it that way. And then that will fund it and give them three or four days to figure out the spending bill.
