PSLV has successfully launched a Brazilian Satellite Amazonia-1. It one of the primary satellites which is an optical earth observation satellite.

New Delhi: Initiating its first take-off of the year, the Indian Space Research Organisation ISRO has today launched the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C51) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR, Sriharkota in Andhra Pradesh today.
The PSLV which was launched as per schedule at 10.24 am today carried 19 payloads to space. It needs to be mentioned here that for the first time in history, PSLV has successfully launched a Brazilian Satellite Amazonia-1. It one of the primary satellites which is an optical earth observation satellite of the National Institute for Space research (INPE).
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Sunday (February 28, 2021) successfully launched the Amazonia-1 satellite along with 18 other co-passenger satellites through PSLV-C51 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. It was launch as per the tentative scheduled at 10:24 AM.

This is part of the first dedicated commercial PSLVC51 mission for its commercial company NewSpace India Limited (NSIL).

The Indian Space Research Organisation on Sunday successfully launched the PSLV-C51 carrying Amazonia-1 and 18 other satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. It was launched at 10:24 AM.

The countdown commenced at 08.54 hours on Saturday for the PSLV-C51/Amazonia-1 mission.

PSLV-C51/Amazonia-1 mission launched from Sriharikota
The PSLV-C51/Amazonia-1 mission was launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh today. PSLV-C51 rocket, which is the 53rd mission of PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle), launched Amazonia-1 of Brazil as primary satellite and 18 co-passenger satellites from Sriharikota, about 100 km from Chennai.
The launch was tentatively scheduled for 10:24 am on February 28, subject to weather conditions. An image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also sent with the geo-imaging satellite GISAT-1.
