A.J. Reeves hit what turned into the game-winning three-pointer with 3.1 seconds left and Takal Molson missed a potential game-tying three on Seton Hall’s end.
The Pirates fell to 5-4, 2-1 in the Big East.
As the Pirates look ahead to several days of practice entering Wednesday’s game with Georgetown, here are five observations going forward.
‘Mamu’ takes the blame
Sandro Mamukelashvili entered as the Big East’s third-leading scorer at 20 points per game, but had just three points at the half when Seton Hall led 40-38. He finished with 20 points, six rebounds and six assists but blamed himself for not being more aggressive earlier.

Seton Hall had won four straight games and two in a row at home entering Sunday’s tilt with Providence at Prudential Center.
But the Pirates had their winning streak snapped when A.J. Reeves hit a three-pointer in the final seconds of overtime to give the Friars an 80-77 win.
