For years developer Provco Pinegood Northampton has sought to build a Wawa convenience store and gas station at 287 Holland Road in the Holland section of the township.
Dozens of residents near Northampton s Holland neighborhood told supervisors to say no on July 7 for plans for a new Wawa gas station on Holland Road.
Neighbors of the proposed 5,585-square-foot store with eight fueling stations say the 2.5-acre parcel at the intersection of Holland, Rocksville and Buck roads will be a traffic nightmare and a danger to nearby homes.
Supervisors will hold a special meeting Wednesday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m., where the final land development plan submitted by Provco Pinegood Northampton could be approved.
A copy of the plan posted at www.northamptontownship.com shows the Wawa will sit mainly on undeveloped land, about 550 feet north of an existing, smaller Wawa food market where Holland and Buck roads intersect.

Attorney Christopher Papa argued Monday the opinion could set a precedent allowing developers a way to tack on primary uses as accessory uses to circumvent local zoning laws. We feel that this is sort of a rubber stamp to this big use that is going to impact this community, Papa told the board at the start of the two-hour hearing Monday night.
The appeal also argues that a lack of a conditional-use hearing denied the public an opportunity to voice concerns to the township.
Soloman testified that his initial opinion, made about a year ago, was inline with the township s ordinance and in part based off of a previous opinion on a similar Wawa project from 2018.
