in the matter of the people versus orenthal james simpson. we find orenthal james simpson not guilty of the crime of murder. how about during this slow-speed chase of the white bronco? we re going to let you go up there. just throw it out the window, please. i m scaring everybody. a crime that became an american and worldwide obsession. o.j. simpson found not guilty of double murder but it didn t end there. spent nearly nine years behind bars for another crime, armed robbery. today back in the courtroom and back in front of the cam rae learned he will be a free man soon. why is it better to be in the community than in the prison? well, you know, i do have four kids. i ve missed a lot of time with those kids. i ve done my time. i ve done it as well and as
he became a folk val point in the trial when o.j. s team called him a racist. you sat down with the woman who recorded the tapes. let s watch this. laura heart mckinney. the writer who recorded conversationes with mark fuhrman. anything out of a nigger s mouth for the first five or six sentences is a lie. she remained mostly silent until now. she is telling her story, her truth. and for the first time, excerpts from the the furman tapes you ve never heard. vulgar. sexist. how do you arrest a violent suspect? have a man do it. disturbing. got to be a border line sociopath. got to be violent. wow. cnn is the first news
many of which i can t repeat. because i ve been talking about race and the criminal justice system all day on this network as it relates to this parole hearing. it is funny to me that this is a country about second chances until it relates to o.j. simpson. so the whole concept of someone serves their time, they are a model prisoner, they do the thing that are asked of them to do while they are incarcerated, then when this time for them to be paroled and the parole commission said they ve met all of the requirements, low risk offender, and they are granted parole, now all of a sudden there is a this sense he should serve this infinite amount of time. not for the botched robbery but for the alleged crime that happened in the 19 the 0s which they get thousands of letters, people urging them to not grant parole because of the verdict in the murder trials. the interesting thing is, is that you you as a person, i ll let you get in. you may not agree with the verdict but the jury decided
