CARLINVILLE Macoupin County residents can now pay property taxes in four installments instead of two.
“It will be more affordable for taxpayers … and, in my opinion, reduce delinquencies and additional fees,” Treasurer Roger Anderson said. “Also, having four installments for our taxpayers will also be compatible for our schools in Macoupin County.”
Anderson said he is working with the Illinois Department of Revenue and banks to implement the Macoupin County Homeowner’s Property Tax Escrow Program. The program would let people deposit a portion of their income into an escrow account each month for property taxes.

CARLINVILLE Macoupin County residents can now pay property taxes in four installments instead of two.
“It will be more affordable for taxpayers to have four installments instead of two, and in my opinion, reduce delinquencies and additional fees,” said Madison County Treasurer Roger Anderson. “Also, having four installments for our taxpayers will also be compatible for our schools in Macoupin County.”
Anderson was sworn in as the Macoupin County Treasurer on April 1. A sixth-generation farmer, he also owns Anderson Insurance Company.
“I wanted to pursue the treasurer’s position to help and work for the taxpayers of this county,” said Anderson. “My job is to serve the taxpayers of this county and maintain the transparency of the office.”
