Jillian Pikora A small plane landed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Monday night.Emergency crews were called to Interstate 76 at mile marker 257.9, between Lebanon-Lancaster Exit 266 and Harrisburg East Exit 247, shortly after 6:30 p.m.Two right lanes were blocked by the Cessna plane. Drivers were asked to avoid the area and stay alert. The roadway reopened around 9 p.m.According to the PA Turnpike Commission, the pilot landed the plane in the right lane, headed westbound near the lawn service plaza in Conewago.After the plane landed it was struck by a tractor-trailer. The tail of the plane was hit but the nose of the plane received the bulk of the damage.Emergency dispatch services in both Dauphin and Lebanon counties sent crews to the scene.The Turnpike Commission says no injuries were reported. The cause of the emergency landing is under investigation.
