The New York state lawmaker who for years has led the charge on legalizing adult-use cannabis says she’s excited about what lies ahead.
“I know that at the end of the day this will create opportunities for people,” said New York State Assembly Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes during a recent online town hall. “That speaks volumes for the future and for the ability to begin creating the kind of access to wealth that can be passed on generationally.”

Social equity a factor that has become a centerpiece for conversations surrounding access to the cannabis space, will remain a complex challenge as a new industry tries to ingratiate the concept into its daily operations.
Barriers to entry are going to play a big role for social equity applicants, said Harvest 360 co-founder
David Serrano, who owns and operates a cannabis-friendly campground and farm in Shawangunk, New York.
“Applicants are going to need support from their municipality, and unfortunately, folks with the most money have historically been given more attention and consideration,” he said.

With multiple challenges, Pakistan is edging closer to making its debut as a meat exporter country, with an eye firmly on China’s meat market which is worth around $15 billion annually. Recently, Pakistan company “Organic Meat Company Ltd” (TOMCL) received the official approval for registration with Chinese Custom Authorities to make a start to export heat treated beef meet to China.
Along with new development, arduous efforts are on the way as special focus is likely to be furnished on how Pakistan can get status of international meat export country in upcoming Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) meeting under CPEC framework on agriculture and Livestock. Further thrust is going to be made on full activation of China Pakistan Free Trade Agreement (CPFTA) phase II that incentivises Pakistan exports items including meat and Chinese’s assistance to vaccination & training to Pakistan exporters and Livestock growers.
