As many as five metro states in Delhi were vandalized and pro-Khalistani slogans were spray painted on the walls, just a few days ahead of the G20 Summit.
V.P. Lingajothy, a lawyer who came to the UK from Sri Lanka in 1983, asked an undercover Mail reporter to pretend that he is a pro-Khalistani who was ill-treated and tortured in India to get asylum in.
Pro-Khalistani groups have demonstrated outside Indian High Commissions in Canada, Australia, the United States, and the UK, protesting recent events and demanding an independent Sikh state. The protests have been met with a visible police presence and have not escalated into violence.
