Council officers seize sound equipment following complaints of loud noise Council officers conviscated sound equipment from a property following complaints of loud music. Preston Council’s Environmental Protection team seized several items of sound amplification equipment from an address on Lulworth Avenue in the city on Friday April 16. CD players, speakers, amplifiers, radios, electric guitars and other equipment was seized from the address following numerous complaints from neighbours. A warrant was obtained by the Environmental Protection team, who were assisted by Lancashire Constabulary’s neighbourhood policing team in executing the warrant. This was following Environmental Health officers investigating and witnessing loud music from the address.

Patrols increased and 14-year-old boy arrested following multiple incidents of criminal damage A 14-year-old has been arrested after causing criminal damage to a vehicle. Police have received multiple daily calls over the past couple of weeks from members of the public reporting groups of young people throwing stones at moving vehicles on busy main roads. This week, officers in Preston were sent to an incident in Edmund Street, but on arrival a number of youths ran away from police patrols. One of the teens was detained and arrested on Percy Street nearby. He has since been released and referred to Lancashire Child and Youth Justice Service.
