Patrols increased and 14-year-old boy arrested following multiple incidents of criminal damage A 14-year-old has been arrested after causing criminal damage to a vehicle. Police have received multiple daily calls over the past couple of weeks from members of the public reporting groups of young people throwing stones at moving vehicles on busy main roads. This week, officers in Preston were sent to an incident in Edmund Street, but on arrival a number of youths ran away from police patrols. One of the teens was detained and arrested on Percy Street nearby. He has since been released and referred to Lancashire Child and Youth Justice Service.
