i think that there potentially could be republicans that would be willing to come to the table on a smaller bill and reform the electoral count act, some of the sort of things that are certainly not up to what activists are looking for on voting rights, but i think you could maybe bring in some mitt romney, lisa murkowski types for a more tailored voting rights bill. republicans are standing in the way of what clyburn wants, and manchin and sinema are standing in the way of this. one thing that frustrated me as an outsider watching the democrats in the past year is they seem to have one card to play, which is, you know, pressure manchin and sinema, complain about the fact that manchin and sinema won t end the filibuster, and they keep coming back with the same answers. there is a little bit of the old line about insanities doing the same thing over and over again and expecting to get results.
