The Supreme Court-appointed committee on the three new farm laws is scheduled to hold its first meeting with members today at Pusa campus in New Delhi.
Anil Ghanwat, a member of the SC-appointed committee said, We are going to meet tomorrow. Only members will meet to discuss the terms of reference and decide the future course of action.

New Delhi [India], January 14 (ANI): Congress leaderRandeep Singh Surjewala on Thursday welcomed Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) President Bhupinder Singh Mann s decision to recuse himself from the four-member committee constituted by the Supreme Court to resolve the impasse between farmers and the Centre over the farm laws.
Slamming the Narendra Modi government, Surjewala said that even though Bhupinder Mann has recused himself from the SC committee, the Centre is unwilling to repeal the laws. Understanding the sentiments of the country and farmers, Bhupendra Mann also backed away from the Supreme Court s committee but Modi ji is still not ready to withdraw the laws.
