to make a difference. and so it has to be a multi-pronged approach. so are there other assets to come with the proposal, and you talked about the stressors and by having some sort of paid prenatal leave, it might allow for some of the things that you talked about for women to get more rest while they are carrying and obviously the body is going through all kinds of things, but then getting to work, and then taking care of affairs at home and beyond. do you see some real assets as to how this is prenatal time off can help? absolutely. first of all, it is giving everybody notice, including employers that this is a priority, that these women will have time to take care of their own health and their baby s health. if nothing else, that messaging is very important. and again, i don t want to say anything negative, because that is a huge first step that is putting this as a priority.
