Youngsters wait to get vaccinated at a city hospital BHUBANESWAR : The desperation to get vaccinated amid the fresh Covid surge has been driving people in the 18-44 age group to come all the way to Bhubaneswar, the only place in the state where Covaxin is being administered. While the inoculation for this age group has been going on in the state capital since May 3, it is likely to be expanded to Cuttack, Rourkela, Berhampur and Sambalpur cities from Monday. Unfazed by the lockdown, many youths from Puri, Dhenkanal, Rourkela, Nayagarh, Boudh, Jajpur, Koraput, Balasore, Bhadrak and other districts travelled to different vaccination centres in Bhubaneswar over the last few days. Since Puri and Cuttack are just an hour and half-an-hour drive from Bhubaneswar, respectively, many drove down from there to ensure that they did not miss out on their shots of hope.
