Patna based Bihar Rajya Matsyajivi Sahakari Sangh (COFFED) Managing Director Rishikesh Kashyap has been made the MD-in Charge of the apex body of fisheries cooperatives- Fishcopfed, in a board meeting held virtually recently. On the occasion the board has also made Hukum Singh Bhati as the officiating Vice-Chairman of the federation.
Readers would recall that in May month, the Delhi High Court had set aside the order of the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies related to the appointment of Ramdas Sandhe as the officiating President and Mukesh as the MD in-charge of the apex body of fisheries co-operatives in the country FISHCOPFED.

Hearing the petitions last week, the Delhi High Court had set aside the order of the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies related to the appointment of Ramdas Sandhe as the officiating President and Mukesh as the MD in-charge of the apex body of fisheries co-operatives in the country FISHCOPFED.
The court has, however, not commented on the validity of the election process. It has merely annulled the appointment of Sandhe and Mukesh as Chairman and MD. The High Court has ruled that the status quo in this regard would be maintained until the learned Arbitrator decided the interim applications filed by any of the parties.

Amidst news of irregularities in one of the leading UCBs of Gujarat, Mehsana Urban Cooperative Bank, the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies Vivek Aggarwal has appointed Vipal Ganda, Advocate as an Arbitrator to resolve the issues.
Arbitrator Vipal Ganda has been asked to submit his report to the office of the Central Registrar within 90 days. The cases, among others, relate to misappropriation of funds by the Chairman and some of the Directors of Mehsana Urban Cooperative Bank.
A slew of complaints was filed by a few shareholders led by one Kiritbhai Patel against the Bank citing hanky-panky deals and cases of irregularities. The complaints name UCB’s current Chairman Ganpatbhai Patel, CEO Vinod M Patel and some other directors for their involvement in misappropriation of funds.
